I Have Been On 50mg Tramadol For A Few Years

I have been on 50mg tramadol for a few years and it's not working as well anymore. Will it hurt me to take 2 of them? Discs in neck repaired in 3 operations and have had over 50 broken bones including my ankle rebuilt 40 years ago. Severe arthritis also both thumbs and several tumors and cysts removed from 1 foot, not did the other yet! In constant pain!
