I Have Been On Prozac 20 Mg For 20 Years

I have been on Prozac 20 mg for 20 years and 40 mg for the past four years. I think at this point it may have lost its full effectiveness and would like to get off of an SSI. Xanax seems to help my anxiety, but afraid to not take anti-depressant meds as I have a history of two severe depressions. Could you suggest another med that does not cause dry mouth. Tried Effexor many years ago and could not tolerate that side effect.
