I Have Been On Simvastatin 20 Mg / Zocor, For

I have been on Simvastatin 20 mg / Zocor, for around 8 years, arms and shoulders aching etc, have found ut how bad it is for me. Can I stop cold turnkey. Have cut down to half tab a day for awhile, now want to go cold turkey
I also take Coveram 5/5 I do not like this one either.
