I Have Been On Budesimide For 2/1/2 Years With Very

I have been on budesimide for 2/1/2 years with very good results for lymphocytic colitis. New doctor concerned about so much cortisone.
Prescribed Lialda. Have tried it 3 separate times. Have experienced flu like symptoms on all 3 occasions and nausea on 2 of the tries. I am an 81 year old female. LC was diagnosed by biopsy of colon.

Please advise.
