I Have Been On Estrogen Replacement For 18 Years Since
I have been on estrogen replacement for 18 years since going into menopause. There is also family history of heart problems in my immediate family (father died of heart attack at 42 and mother of embolism at 71). My new gynocologist wants me to stop the pill. My internist (who now lives out of state) told me that since I had been on hormone replacement for so long that I should not go off of it because of the family heart history. Where can I find research regarding that?
