I Have Been On Smz/tmp Because I Had A Cough

I have been on smz/tmp because I had a cough and runny nose with greenish color.. but now that .taking this antbx that I have never taken... I can't breath, I'm coughing like an asthmatic with bronchitis with a very bad headache and tired... should I stop taking them or is this common
