I Have Been On The Generic For Zanax For About

I have been on the generic for Zanax for about 5 years. The dosage was .5 milligrams 3 to 4 a day. I had to change doctors because my other one retired. My new doctor will only allow one .5 a day. She is claiming she cannot prescribed more because of the law. I have a meeting with her on Tuesday to discuss this situation. I would hate to change doctors again, but if we cannot come to a mutual descision I will be forced to. I might add that I am a 75 year old woman who is the only care giver for my 83 year old husband. He has C.O.P.D. and congestive heart failure. My stress level is extremely high. I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years. I am not just looking for drugs. I need your input so the doctor and myself can come to a mutual understanding. I claim this is My maintainance drug. She will not comply. Any suggustins would be a tremendous help. Thank you.
