I Have Been On The Pill 'rigevidon' Twice Now, The

I have been on the pill 'rigevidon' twice now, the first time was maybe 5 years ago (where i was on it for 2 years) and about 9 months ago i went back on it. The first time i experienced hair loss, my doctor did blood tests etc but there was no real reason why this had happened and noone made the connection between the pill and my hair loss. This time around, i have started losing hair again, so my new (university) doctor told me to come off it.
I'm in a relationship so using the pill for contraception is important to me.. But so is not losing my hair. Have you seen this before? And is there a pill or different type of contraception (other than condoms) that is equally good with less chance of hair loss?
