I Have Been Perscribed Amoxycillin For An Infestion Around My

I have been perscribed Amoxycillin for an infestion around my wisdom tooth. I have been in pain for 3 days, although i only started my does yesterday morning. how long will it take to kick in? I am worried this is not strong enough for my infection. I have been taking pain killers quite often as when they wear out i am in agony.
