I Have Been Placed On Labetalol 200 Mg Twice A

I have been placed on labetalol 200 mg twice a day for high blood pressure.
After being on this drug for 3 weeks I have noticed that I am experiencing the following side effects.
As each day goes by I find that I am experiencing a stronger sensation to the following side effects, shortness of breath.
The left side of my face feels like it is numb and swollen, the left side of my side of my lips are swollen and numb, the left side of my tongue and throat feel swollen and numb.
I have had conjestive heart failure for for about 10 years and it feels to be getting worst since going on this medication.
if I stop this medication these feelings seem to go away. But then my blood pressure goes out of control.
My heart doctor says to suck it up, the medication has got my blood pressure under control.
I am taking twice the Lasix that I was before 40 mg twice daily now yet I am swelling up in my legs more than I ever was and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
I am concerned. Can you give me any advice?
