I Have Been Prescribed Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg Tablets For Atrial

I have been prescribed metoprolol tartrate 25mg tablets for atrial fibrillation. I am a smoker and I have COPD....Is this medication dangerous to use if you have COPD or lung disease....Some things I have read about it says to not take if you have lung disease. I will be taking 1/2 tab in the morning and 1/2 in the night
