I Have Been Put On Bipap Treatment This Last Year.

I have been put on Bipap treatment this last year. This year several times my tongue got to where it was difficult to form words or move my tongue in usual ways. Question is: Is this symptomatic of a more serous problem? and what specialty would address this. I am seeing a ear, nose, throat specialist for the sleep apnea.
