I Have Been Referred To Pain Management From My Surgeon

I have been referred to pain management from my surgeon . I had a level 2 fusion with rods in my back 6 months ago . I'm on morphine ,gabapentin,and tizanidine . I'm 64 years young . Male .but can only work a few hours a day . ( self employed )
My question is how will this Referal help me ?
