I Have Been Severely Constipated For 6 Days And Have

I have been severely constipated for 6 days and have used every over the counter remedy with no luck. I am usually very regular. I was admitted into the ER last Tuesday for extreme gastrointestional pain, tests revealed nothing; saw my PTP on Thursday for a referral to a GI. I am now in pain and very bloated; this has never happened before! What is my next step???
