I Have Been Sick With What Started As Nasal Congestion

I have been sick with what started as nasal congestion for about a week. My temperature has been about 95.7 to 96.7 for at least 4 days. It has moved to my chest and I have asthma. I do have a somewhat productive cough. I don't know if I should see my physician or if it's just a bad cold and I should let it run it's course. I'm also sleepy a great deal.
