I Have Been Smelling Like Burning Wood Smoke For Quite

I have been smelling like burning wood smoke for quite a long time now ever since I got back from my cruising trip for 13 nights in New Zealand. When I got back I had a sore throat with temperature. I took one amoxillin then my fever & sore throat gone. Then I got colds but it disappeared right away. However, this smell of wooden smoke gets me. Its really annoying and doesn't go away. What's the problem? I thought someone had just had a smoke in the room but its not. Anywhere I go even in my car or room I smell burning wood smoke. What is it?
