I Have Been Suffering From Acid Reflux, Gerd, Hiatal Hernia

I have been suffering from acid reflux, gerd, hiatal hernia for three years and have lost a good 50 lbs.
My blood pressure is pretty high: about 168/93. I am 72 years old.
I'm not taking any medication. I prefer wholistic medicine.
A friend recommended chlordiazepoxide-clidinium. Should I take it?
