I Have Been Suffering From Persistent Cough, No Other Difficulty,

I have been suffering from persistent cough, no other difficulty, only coughing. Its been 3.5 months now and its still there. In fact I suffer with this kind of cough every year since 2010. The cough will persist for 2 -3 months and then one day just disappear. However, this year its been longer and still not cured. It feels as if there is something in the throat which in turn leads to the urge to cough. And sometimes due to constant coughing the throat starts hurting. The coughing is more at night especially while going to the bed. However, once I am asleep I won’t cough unless I wake up i.e. during sleep there is no coughing. When I eat something there is momentary relief i.e. while eating and for a few moments just after eating I won’t cough.

I have not been taking any medication as of now. In the initial years when the problem started I was prescribed antibiotics and anti-allergents, however, there was no effect not even 1%, so this year I have not visited any doctor as yet. In the previous years I also did some blood tests and chest X-ray as advised by the doctors but the X-ray and all test reports were clear.

I feel this cough is taking a toll on my body and because of this I have lost all motivation and zeal to do anything or live. I am not able to concentrate on anything that I do. Please advise.
