I Have Been Suffering With Anxiety Most Of My Life

I have been suffering with anxiety most of my life but only in the last 10 years I've had it the worst. I'm 55 years old in in 2006 after losing 2 loved ones and dealing with my cancer diagnosis and treatment my anxiety level has increased. I'm on anti-depressants and I take Ativan for my episodes. My question: after having councelling and treatment as well as Ned's for anxiety, will I never get curved from this? My job is listed as one of the 10 most stressful jobs a person can do - is it time for me to rethink my career choice and change my job to something less stressful? I'm getting so tired of dealing wth this and really need answers so I can move forward with my life if anxiety is a lifelong illness with no real cure! Thanks.
