I Have Been Taken Methylprednisolone 4 Mg For 1 1/2

I have been taken methylprednisolone 4 mg for 1 1/2 days for back injury from lifting( having back pain) It help at first but now I am getting worse. also having so side effects from the medication. Do you think the methylprednisolone could be making it worse. I am a female 74 year old but not retired.
