I Have Been Taking Bactrim For About 5 Days Now.

I have been taking Bactrim for about 5 days now. Today I started to itch and I just looked up possible side effects and severe itching is one of them. Can you tell me if I stop taking it will the itching stop immediately or will it take a few days?
