I Have Been Taking Depakote For Many Years And Noticed

I have been taking Depakote for many years and noticed feet swelling alot. After breaking a leg and healing I have had to go to hospital for anti bionics and I got well after that. My doctor said I had an infection that settled in my foot of the leg I broke. Now my other foot got swollen with cellulite and it was after a flue again. The doctor said I had a high level of acid and it could be gout. I know a side effect from acid is because of Depakote. What do I do? I just started taking fish oil again and am watching my diet more.
