I Have Been Taking Microgynon 30 For Years. I Finished

I have been taking Microgynon 30 for years. I finished my last months pack last week on Saturday. During the seven day pill-free period, I had sex on the Wednesday. My period came on the Thursday, as usual. However, I have not resumed taking the pill as normal on the Sunday just gone. I know it seems a silly question, but was I definitely protected during the intercourse on the Wednesday night?
