I Have Been Taking Multaq 400mg BID And Lopressor 12.5mg

I have been taking Multaq 400mg BID and Lopressor 12.5mg BID for 6 weeks now for new onset A Fib. I have pharyngitis now and my doctor gave me the 5 day Z Pack. Even my cardiologist said it was fine but I have a fear that the Afib will return. I have been under control for 5 weeks. Is it safe? Thank you for your response.
