I Have Been Taking Xanax 10 Two Times A Day

I have been taking Xanax 10 two times a day and I expressed to my Doctor that I did not want to DEPEND on them daily. I now have a high tolerance for them after a bowel obstruction. She then gave me a prescription for doxepin! After reading how dangerous they are to quit I am a little worried?
