I Have Been Taking Amiordaorane For The Last 5 Years

I have been taking amiordaorane for the last 5 years to help control my A Fib. it has done a very good job ( i have had to adjust the dosage to get it right...current i'm taking 2.5 mil.) Recently, the very next day after having my 2nd cataract surgery (this one for my rt. eye)....i have lost all vision in that right eye. I was told the next day during my appointment that the optic nerve had been damaged because of blood flow....and that this occurance (although rare) can happen to those patients taking amiodorane...my doctor went on to say that it was possible that my medication could also effect the sight in my left eye and that it is permanent....what is your opinion on this?
