I Have Been Taking Cipro And Flagyl For Almost Three

I have been taking cipro and flagyl for almost three days and have to take for ten days for lower abdominal pain. I have had a colonoscopy and a colonography and it was mostly liverticulitis. My doctor wanted me to try this for a possible infection. I have had side effects of diarhea, gasous stomach, appetite loss, sleepiness. Do you think this will help? If it doesn't, I'm not sure what to do next. The pain doesn't seem to getting any better so far, but I am going to stick it out.
