I Have Been Taking Metaformin For About Three Weeks .My

I have been taking metaformin for about three weeks .My blood test came back as7.1 after my doctor wanted it tested for diabetis.I don't feel very good with this drug I was sick last night I am hardly ever sick and generally do not feel comfortable have also had diarrhoea.I am almost 80 years old , would it be possible to stop taking this drug.I l I am on Cymbalta and. 6mgs of prednisone also co codamel 15 /500 for fibromyalgia.i would appreciate any advice I live in a care home, I haven't been given any advice on checking blood sugar or any proper guidance on diet
