I Have Been Taking Methylprednisolone For 4 Days. Yesterday Evening

I have been taking methylprednisolone for 4 days. Yesterday evening I broke out in hives in the groin area. I took a Benadryl capsule, went to bed, got up - no hives. Now the hives have returned--groin area, inside my ears, arm. Could the drug be causing this? Also, Sunday I fell and broke my left pinky. My whole hand is badly bruised, as is my left arm. I'm seeing a hand specialist 11/2. Could stress from the fall cause the hives?
