I Have Been Taking My 19 Yr Old Son To

I have been taking my 19 yr old son to the dermatologist for 5 months, I have repeatedly asked them to please prescribe ascorbin? the new medication in place of Accutane. I have watched his skin go from bad to the WORST I have ever seen a kid with acne! He has +3-4 scarring on his face,back; his skin hurts to touch it and continuously brakes out with new cysts. He has been on oral ABT, topical ABT, every kind of RX cream and OTC wash and cream and they still wont prescribe it! Why?? I have 2 other sons that are in their 30's that were both on Accutane before it ever got this bad. I'm an RN with 25+ experience and I know what to watch for, is there something I just don't know or understand?
