I Have Been Tested Twice For Protein In My Urine.

I have been tested twice for Protein in my urine. First time showed 300mg and 2nd time different time of day showed 100mg. Family physician says he wants to keep and eye on me. Should I be concerned? I'm wanting my swelling to go down in legs and feet. what can I do?
