I Have Been Treated For Pinworm For About 3 Months.

I have been treated for Pinworm for about 3 months. I still have a burning, itching feeling in my anal area. Once in a while I feel a movement like a worm. I have been told my parasite is gone and that I now may have Pruritus Ani. Does that sound like a possibility? I have been dealing with symptoms for over 8 months now.
