I have been treated for yeast and bacterial infections in the last month for symptoms of burning upon urination and yellow discharge. The smear was negative for bacterial and was treated anyway. After the 5 days of Metronidazole 0.75% gel was completed the symptoms reoccurred after 2 days. When being treated with Diflucan x2 for yeast the symptoms reoccurred after 4 days. I am 51 years old and I am not sure if this correlates with premenopause however it still shouldn't explain the discharge and slight foul odor. What other tests or treatments should be considered??
