I Have Been Trying To Get Pregnant For A Little

I have been trying to get pregnant for a little over two years now. I was late in my period this month. I am currently having a period but it doesn't seem normal. The blood is more like an orangish color. My boobs have been sensitive and my lower back hurts. What could be wrong?? The blood is more like mucus than blood. It is really stringy not sure if I am explaining it correctly but I just know it's not right
