I Have Been Using 8mg's Of Suboxone For The Last

I have been using 8mg's of suboxone for the last 6 + years. My dr just gave me 4 1/2 mg's and said take it for 12 weeks
1. Can you just stop taking subs and move on to neltrexone?
2. At the end of 12 weeks it's just over and done with

I severely suffer with Crohn's and colitis, and thes subs seemed to work,but I hate the fact of being dependent on something.
