Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been using Naproxen 220mg 4 times a day for years (2 tabs in the morning and 2 in the afternoon). My doctor told me to quit taking them, and she suggested I may have an ulcer. I dropped down to 2 tablets a day for a week, then quit altogether over a week ago. I have had a headache and numerous aches and pains since then, and my energy level dropped even lower than it was. I have severe COPD (I am on 3 liters of oxygen throughout the day and 4 liters at night through my C-pap machine). I also have arthritis and have had both my hips replaced. My lower back hurts more than I can describe. I have also been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia several years ago but the Naproxen. seemed to alleviate that. Can I expect these symptoms to subside after a while or do I need some other medication to help me out? === Boy am I naive! Didn't realize I had to pay for your answer....I'll just go see my own doctor!
