I Have Been Woken Up From Sleep With This Spinnig,

I have been woken up from sleep with this spinnig, feels like it's right behind my eyes. At times it happens while watching tv, cooking and other things, don't always feel sick but headaches sometimes comes after. Also for the last 8+months I have had problems with neck pain, could this be the reason for the spinning?
