I have chronic and relatively severe asthma, not fully controlled by medications... Yesterday I began having coughing fits that last some time and after the fit, I have difficulty to breathe for a short period. Through the night last night I was having coughing fits followed by a whooping sound. Also my voice is very gruff. The deeper I try to breathe the more I have to cough. This actually happens relatively frequently. In addition I have been running an oral fever of 100.4 to 100.8. have aches and pains in my body and in some joints. I have sweats and chills, since yesterday afternoon. I have spent most of the last two days, so when I get up To walk I feel a little dizzy. My peak flow is around 210 L/MIN, where it would normally be 375 to 425... Can you help me, I am trying to decide whether I should go to hospital, as often I find things gets worse through the night, but get better throughtnthenday.
