I Have Constant Heartburn, No Matter How Bland The Food

I have constant heartburn, no matter how bland the food I eat is. When I lay down at night, it feels like my throat is closing. I find it hard to take a deep breath. All during the night, I have what seems to be acid reflux in which my stomach contents come up. I often get choked by small pieces of food that come up and get stuck in my windpipe. Many times, this is food that I ate hours and hours ago.
