I Have Constant Noise In My Ears, Sounds Like A

I have constant noise in my ears, sounds like a motor running, sometimes I feel dizzy when changing from prone to an upright position. I'm also experiencing difficulty hearing. My Dr. Prescribed methhlprednisolone for 6 days. Will 6 days be enough to take care of the problem. I thought he said he was prescribing low dose of blood pressure medicine but maybe he meant that was the alternative to this medication if this doesn't help.
