I Have Constipation And/or Diarrhea. Right Now, I Have Not

I have constipation and/or diarrhea. Right now, I have not had a bowel movement in 7 days. 8 days ago I had a stomach bug and had intense diarrhea for 24 hours. The constipation has become a chronic problem. The doctor has me using fiber and stool softeners but no help so far.
