I Have Continual Numbness Or Tingling In My Right Hand

I have continual numbness or tingling in my right hand thumb and sometimes in the first three fingers of my right hand. My left hand sometimes "goes to sleep" when I am sleeping, but is OK during the day. Is this caused by a vitamin deficiency or perhaps alcoholism? I do drink a lot of wine in the evenings.
