I Have Corneal Erosion And The Consultant Has Recomended Corneal

I have corneal erosion and the consultant has recomended corneal debridement although I had a bandage lens in for 5 days my eye my eyes eye became sore and painful I had lens taken out and new one put in but the new one has done the same they were to avoid night pain the doctor I saw today said this was the wrong course of action and given me chloraphenicol ointment and dexamethasone steroid drops I am frightened to go to sleepbecause of the pain would it be ok to tape eye shut and can I use lubricant with theese medications thanks for helping
