I Have Developed A 3" Hard Lump On The Outer

I have developed a 3" hard lump on the outer front side of my leg just above the knee joint. I also have a Baker's cyst on the back of the same knee. Is it all the same thing? I am currently under care for RA, and evaluation for knee replacement. At first I thought I was developing muscle as a result of PT for my knee but it seems like a defined area, more like a gland.
