I Have Diverticulitis And I Am Having A Lot Of

I have diverticulitis and I am having a lot of pain and some bleeding. I was put on cipro, which I started taking yesterday. I feel that I should be better by now. Is there another medicine I could take that might be better? I was also put on flagyl but I had an allergic reaction to it and had to stop.
