I Have Dull Pain On The Left Side One Inch

I have dull pain on the left side one inch to the side of the unblicus. It hurts when I move with a sharp pain that is not higher than a 4-5. There is slight tenderness to the touch at the spot decribed. It is now hurting when sitting and standing or bending. No fever, upset GI or other symptoms. Could it be a hernia? or something I should get checked out today. I have a doctor's appt. tomorrow afternoon.
