I Have Experienced Concentrated Soreness In My Left Ribs For

I have experienced concentrated soreness in my left ribs for many decades which has restricted my ability to breathe and negatively affects musculature control of my mouth and lips. I have been to many doctors and have had several chest x rays, but the chest x rays have been negative and the doctors have not been able to give me a definitive diagnoses. It feels like I may have some kind of nerve or muscle damage. When I press on the focused area in the rib cage it is very tender. Do you have any ideas on what my medical condition is?
