I Have Extreme Pain In My Left Leg, It Seems

I have extreme pain in my left leg, It seems to be getting worse, it started like a bad charlie horse 2 weeks ago, i went to my doctor and he thought it may be a pulled hamstring, the pain is getting worse, I can walk but it gets painful, it gets to be a 9-10 on the pain level. I woke up 2 weeks ago with the pain all over my body but went away quickly, the next morning is when the left leg started hurting, I had missed a step comeing down the stairs on that sunday.
