I Have Extreme Pain Running Down My Leg. Started About

I have extreme pain running down my leg. Started about six months ago behind my right knee. The pain was primarily at night. I now have much pain running from the outside of my hip down my leg, behind my knee and along the side of my leg down my the side of my calf and I feel it during the day when sitting but the pain increases at night making it difficult to sleep
