I Have Extreme Swelling In My Left Foot. And Pain.

I have extreme swelling in my left foot. and pain. My foot looks almost deformed from all the swelling and it really hurts to walk on it. At first, I thought it was the humidity and also it is where I broke my arch back in 1974. But it is not getting any better. I used to go to sleep and in the morning the swelling would be less, but lately, that is not happening. Should I be concerned-my mother always had swollen ankles so I put most of it down to inherited issues.
